Attention: According to the conditions of the national emergency declared by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania, from 13 September 2021, customers may collect the acquired numismatic valuables at the cash offices of the Bank of Lithuania only by presenting a valid national certificate (COVID-19 passport) or equivalent document. The Regulations for the Sale of Numismatic Items have changed: the number of collector coins struck from precious metals that may be purchased by one person was reduced to 1 piece of each coin (previously, 2 pcs.), whereas that of commemorative coins with the Lithuanian national side in a numismatic package – to 2 pieces of each coin (previously, 5 pcs.). Taking into account the technical capabilities of the e-shop, the Bank of Lithuania shall have the right to limit the number of buyers.

The obverse of the coin features the Church of Christ the Redeemer that belongs to Sapieha Palace complex, in the background – an impressive octagonal dome that is depicted from below, as if looking from inside the church, as well as the grand coat of arms of the Sapieha family, featuring Vytis, the coat of arms of the Republic of Lithuania. The coin also depicts the inscription LIETUVA (LITHUANIA), denomination (€20), the year of issue (2019) and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint.


The reverse of the coin depicts a Baroque masterpiece – the ensemble of the park and the countryside palace of Jan Kazimierz Sapieha, Grand Hetman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. It also features the inscription SAPIEGŲ RŪMAI (SAPIEHA PALACE).
