The national side of the coin depicts the shield of the coat of arms, with a moose holding a spear in its forelegs and a shining lighthouse above it. Kurenkahns are on both sides of the shield, and below it appears a quote by Vydūnas: “Spindulys esmi begalinės šviesos” (A ray is the essence of infinite light). The composition is surrounded by the inscriptions “Lietuva” (Lithuania), “Mažoji Lietuva” (Lithuania Minor), the year of issue (2025), and the mintmark of the Lithuanian Mint. Unique folk songs were born here, along with the region’s rich printing tradition and book smugglers, which helped to preserve the Lithuanian tongue in even the most trying circumstances.
